Yeah, so CeeJayFrost did her own rendition of a collage this familiar... [link] I requested her to make a collage of Jack here, and I then decided to make my own with the poem. But as she has already done it and it's such a great job, I hereby reference it! Most of the photos are screenshots from online and videos on youtube (official ones, some even trailers).
The poem is dedicated to my old self who used to talk to pictures *ahem* still do! *ahem* I guess those who are "mentally" dating Jack (or any other character for that matter). It's called "Still Faces" and this is the part one. Still working on part two! xD So enjoy! You do have my permission to use this as a wallpaper, but BARE IN MIND, the poem is copyrighted under me.
The font colour makes it a bit hard at some places to read the poem^^ But I think I did it, though, and it's... wow! It's deeply touching and I really can relate to it, since it has happened already several times that I've fallen for fictional characters... It expresses really a lot of my feelings about theses one-sided affections. Great job!
Why, thank you! I'm glad you liked it. There's a part two but I haven't been working that, you see. Will get back to the world and you on that!
I often fall for fictional characters too. My current list is: 1) Dante from DmC and DMC 2) L from Death Note / Light; they share this spot hehe 3) Gaara from Naruto 4) Sasuke/Itachi/Deidara from Naruto 5) Ichigo from Bleach
I'm really glad there're people out there who understand the poem and therefore me. This affection is not something that's crazy or out of this world. For me, this is what's keeping me from being crazy or over the line. It's what keeping me sane, even if it isn't normal. Of course, I don't go out and tell people: "Hey, I like Dante. He's my boyfriend. I'm taken." It's actually better to fall for things that aren't real and be true to yourself, than to love real people and cyber stalk or stalk and be untrue to yourself.
I'm going to read part 2 for sure! (May take some time, though - I'm going on holiday for 2 weeks-->no internet)
and Oh my
I had also been in love with Gaara from Naruto a few years ago for quite a long time~ He's still my favourite character <3 So awesome - his hair x3 And Koji Minamoto from Digimon Frontiers, back then when I was 14 - gosh, I was dating him mentally for at least half a year... Lol, thinking of it, these are quite fond memories I once received a message of someone who said they were over 30 and preferably fell in love with fictional characters and called it "fictophilia". I like the term and took it over for myself. Well, only for myself, 'cause I don't know how people would react xD It's so awesome, sadly only few people know it, most think these kind of feelings are only limited to some „strange“ otakus out there... But actually these affections are so fulfilling but if you keep your eyes open, I think there are quite a few people with fictophilia... One just has to look into the fandoms...tumblr, youtube, dA...
